For the better part of my almost twelve years of Student Ministry I was wearing two major hats. One, the Student Pastor/Leader/Communicator. The Second, the Worship Leader. I've lead worship at every church I've ever served. Even at North Point I occasionally would lead worship for Middle School. I've been a part of bands that lead worship all summer. I've even been the worship leader on retreats and camps.

Up until today I've only sang a couple of songs at Northwood. Tonight however, I'm leading worship. The old saying may be true; if you don't use it, you lose it. I'm kind of nervous because we have incredible musicians lead us every week that I hold at high standards. Now I'm in that seat. As I sit and practice I find myself talking to my guitar. "I feel like I should know you but I'm having a hard time placing your name."
Please pray for me to get out of the way tonight in the same way I effort when I'm speaking. I'm excited to use all the gifts and abilities God has given me but man....singing really puts your ego out there for all to destroy. I'll let you know how it goes.
