Because I Should

I'm mentally exhausted. After all our groups focused work over the last few months our groups are off to a roaring start.  Our production level has jumped up in a big way over the last month.  I'm finally able to give some attention to other areas of need.  Item one on the list is our host teams.  However, after our unbelievable trip to Notre Dame and all the budget preparations I can't seem to find the mental energy to blog.  So now I'm blogging because I should.  I'm not even sure what this post will turn into so here goes nothing.

Wednesday night I walked away from the Element with so much pride in my team.  Not just for the level of excellence we achieved but because I honestly felt like we were all moving from an attitude of trying to reach this level to the understanding that this is how things are supposed to be.

I'm very excited about all that God is doing at Northwood Church and our "Out of the Ashes" campaign.  Despite the crazy national economy, we believe God has opened a door and we following Him through it. 

My family is amazing.  I've had so many moments of appreciation with my wife and daughters as of late.  I've found myself just watching them and thanking God for all He's blessed me with.  I really don't know why He continually shows me so much favor. 

I love this time of year.  So much possibility; the weather is amazing and football, football, football.  I love going to Friday night football games; watching Saturday College games and watching my fantasy football team lose week after week on Sundays and Mondays.  It's so fun.

I'm leading a small group of eleventh grade guys.  This is the first time I've ever lead a high school small group.  I hope I don't suck at this.  I've got some great guys though and I'm looking forward to getting to know them more.

I'm ready for my grass to stop growing.  When does that happen in SC?

I suppose I'll stop there.  What are you thankful, proud of, working toward in your life right now?

I'm sorry no one else has cared to answer your question :( I'm proud of my husband and all that God is enabling him to do as a pastor. I'm thankful for God's continual guidance and encouragement in our lives and I'm working toward seeking and depending on Him more on a daily basis. Lots of love, bro.
