So I decided not to blog yesterday. I wanted you to all see my incredible tennis...I mean, I took the day off to spend with my wife or God or something else spiritual that makes me sound really mature. Anita and I met my parents in Greensboro on Friday and then headed out for a weekend away. I wish it was all fun but we did have a little business to tend to. Oh yeah and some other business. (I apologize to my children who will one day read this and throw up.)
We hung out with Rich and Jo and a short but very fun time with Dustin and Linsdsey. I got some new jeans and some serious quality time with Anita. We had a great chance to spend some time at Foothills Community Church in Seneca, SC. What God is doing with these guys is quite amazing. The people of Foothills are incredible. We've been through a lot in the last week. God has encouraged us in a new way each day. I'm not really sure what this week has in store but if you're in Charlotte and you'd like to go to lunch or play golf or tennis, give me a call.
As for tomorrow, I'll be standing in line at the post office making sure our tax papers get sent off in time. We've never waited this long. I can't decide if that's a good or a bad thing. By the way, if you or someone you know is on staff with a church or ministry and you're looking for a Student Pastor or a speaker for an event let me know. I figured I'd put it out there. You never know who's reading and we're not quite sure what God has for us next. Please keep praying for us.
I'm glad to see there's another person out there that enjoys the humor of "Flight of the Conchords." Are we heathens?
